Witchcraft & Wicca

England's New Forest has always had a reputation as a place where witchcraft was practiced; and this reputation has been strengthened by the fact that two of the founders of the modern movement known as Wicca were associated with the area. During his researches for THE FOREST, Edward Rutherfurd examined the literature on both these subjects, and his researches are incorporated, where appropriate, in the story.
